Latest Interior Design Advancements by Rock Robins
Interior Design has always been flexible. It has bent to the
needs and creativity of the interior designer ever since. It is shifting,
evolving and changing through time. Many markets have been following the trend,
making houses eco-friendly, energy efficient, and technologically advance.
Smart homes
It’s already 2017, gadgets and
smart devices are almost everywhere. Would you believe that there is a Google
Home already? I’m talking about an actual hands-free device, not a website! It
has a voice-activated Wi-Fi speaker and uses Google Assistant AI. It works as a
smart home control centre and a personal virtual assistant for the entire
family.
Google Home makes your home feel
more connected, as it can turn on your television, remind you of future
appointments, lets you watch the latest episode in Netflix, and play songs
directly from the cloud, all through a simple voice command.
Virtual Reality
What is
cooler than a voice-activated speaker at home?
Probably a Virtual Reality! Just last year, two Filipino ladies introduced
Virtual Reality to the Philippines. These ladies are top executives of an IT company
that opened the world of virtual reality for local businesses and productions.
We got used to the thought that if you say VR, it pertains to computer games.
But, VR can now be used for greater purposes like architecture and interior designing.
Imagine all the possibilities it will bring in the upcoming years.
Visualize
creating a room for your client through the use of VR, and explaining the
interiors and structures of the room by actually just sitting beside your
client. This allows you to have an experience of going around your office or
house even before the construction begins. Another thing, you don’t have to
move furniture in and out of the room anymore, because you can easily test
different furniture as you please at the click of a button.
Hands-Free Faucet
Faucet systems
are also upgrading these days. Before, you can only see faucets like these in
the mall, but now, some homes are already adapting to this.
Hands-free faucets
are rust-free and has consistent motion sensor. They are furnished with a
proximity sensor that distinguishes the presence of hands, and then uses a
mechanism to open the water flow.
These faucet
systems are becoming more reasonably priced and increasingly necessary for everyday
living in homes. In fact, this has less bacteria contamination, since you don’t
need to touch any handles anymore. It’s also good at controlling the amount of
water flow, thus, helping you preserve water.
Hands-free faucets
are sleek, shiny, and smart, fitting effortlessly in a trendy, contemporary
bathroom. This makes a picture-perfect
addition to your smart home's bathroom.Lighting Fixtures
The use of Energy
Efficient Lighting has been more prominent now. We have LED technology that
offers cost saving benefits to power usage and makes it easy to go around your
home.
LED lights are
the modern lights for today's home. It is perhaps the most frequently used
light fittings all over the commercial and architectural places. It can be used
in almost every room, in just about any application.
LED lights can
be combined with sleek finishes like brushed steel, and some materials like
glass and wood. The outcome is a state-of-the-art look that promotes ideal
functionality and high style. The strong yet simple designs of our lighting
fixture make it the perfect focal point in any modern home or office.
Technology is the new frontier of design at home. For so many
decades, the designs of houses and offices have been dictated by technology. It
may go unnoticed, but in the near future, these technological advances will
impact the interior design of your space.
